Discover the Landes :
If you are looking to breathe, listen, taste and appreicate
the simple things in life, you will fall in love with this beautiful
part of France, the largest man-made forest in Europe, stretched
along the Southern Atlantic coast.
The country side throughout time has remained a feast of
wilderness, smells and colours.
For thos who enjoy walking it will offer endlers strolls
in the forest along rivers, lakes, miles of cyclepaths,
footpaths leading to stretches
of white sand dunes overlooking the big blue ocean (surfing, windsurfing).
You would also just get tempted by the local "gastronomy"
(foie gras, Bordeaux wines, "Armagnac" brandies) or understand
more of the history by visiting the museums
and finish off your day by going to the local fiestas.
Discover the beaches :
Called the "Silver Coast", the beach is the longuest
in France (110 km) from Arcachon to Biarritz.
If you are looking for white and fine sand, no need to go
further ! All year round, people from around the world are in search
of farniente or action packed holiday (surf, etc...) or fishing
on a busy but never overcrowded beach, tucked away between the Ocean
and the Biggest Dune in Europe (Dune du PYLA).
Behind the dunes and parallel to the ocean you will find
a number of fresh water lakes fringed by "Les barthes de l'Adour"
sprinkled with wild plants and flowers with amazing wild santuaries.
